Affordable and Social Rent
If you’re on a low income and in need of housing, it’s possible you could live in one of our homes that have affordable rent. To do this, you have to be registered with Kent Homechoice.
Kent Homechoice is the partnership of Local Authorities and Housing Associations that provide affordable and social housing in Kent. They maintain a register of people prioritised based on their housing need. Visit the Kent Homechoice website to help you work out if you have a housing need and are eligible.
If you are eligible you will be able to use the their website to see what homes we have available and ‘bid’ on those which meet your requirement. Once the advert for our homes has closed, we use this register to prioritise which applicants we can offer our homes to, in accordance with the relevant local authority's Allocation Scheme.
Before moving into your new home please read our moving in guide.
If you are at risk of homelessness please visit the Help with Homelessness website for advice and signposting, or alternatively contact your local authority.
To see the homes we are currently working on visit our Developments page.
Alternative options to Social Renting
- If you don’t qualify for social rented housing, then you might want to think about privately renting a home from us.
- If you are over 50 you may qualify for accommodation in one of our OPAL properties.
