Free Employment Help and Support

Penny & Jenny

Our Workwise team, Penny and Jenny, are here to provide all the support and advice you might need when looking for work. Here Penny tells us how the team can help you.

“We know how difficult it can be to apply for jobs, particularly online, and we are happy to help by giving tips and advice on how to word an application, as well as supporting you to sell your skills and experience to a potential employer. You don’t have to be a Golding Homes resident either.

“We aren’t just here for people looking to get back into employment, we can also help if you want to look for another job or even a career change. We hold free weekly drop-in sessions, 10am - 2pm each Tuesday at The Mall, Maidstone, and Tuesday mornings, 10am - 12noon, at Greenborough Close Day Centre in Shepway.

Come along and see us if you need help with your CV and job searching; we are well known for our professional, effective CVs. If you can’t make the drop-in sessions then we are more than happy to meet you somewhere more convenient, whether it be Morrison’s Café, a library or even Fusion Centre in Park Wood.

“This year we have been busy holding our first Pop-Up Job Shops, where we give practical advice as well as information on local jobs. We will be running these monthly, so if you are interested in coming along keep an eye out on our Facebook page (@GoldingHomesLtd) for dates and locations. Why not follow us so you can also find out about our other training courses. If you would rather be alerted by an email or text, just let us know by emailing workwise@goldinghomes.org.uk or calling/texting me on 07720 309 727.”
