At Golding we are committed to providing quality housing for our customers and investing in local communities which they can be proud to call home.
We invest in our individual homes all the time and realise sometimes a large investment is needed to bring improvements to a whole area. Usually, this is because homes are becoming older and the overall condition deteriorates over time or that an area could benefit from a better layout with modern, fresh facilities. Also, importantly, we are keen to provide more good quality homes for local people.
The Cambridge Crescent area has been identified as an area that could benefit from significant investment to replace the older housing, creating a modern and safer centre of Shepway.
We want to better understand and tackle some of the current challenges, including the lack of family homes, antisocial behaviour, disused open spaces and dated shopping area.
You are at the centre of our plans for Shepway, this is your neighbourhood, and we will be working with customers and businesses to ensure that your voice is heard as we make plans for a new revived local area, that people can be proud of. We understand that your home and community are important, so we are offering a real opportunity for residents and local businesses to be involved in planning the future of Shepway.
We are working closely with local partners and community groups to ensure all voices and opinions are heard.
We would like to share with you the areas involved in our proposal and some of the ideas that we are considering at this early stage. This is the beginning of a conversation between local residents, us at Golding Homes, local business owners, and council planners amongst others. In this Information Pack, we have included some answers to the likely questions that you will have at this stage, but we know that there will be more questions to come.
Thank you to everyone who completed our first thoughts survey which covered our initial proposals. We're currently working through the key themes from the survey results and are still on-site and available to listen to any views that our customers may have.
