Golding secures top consumer rating from Regulator
Golding Homes is proud to announce we’ve been awarded the top C1 rating by the Regulator for Social Housing (RSH) following a rigorous inspection.
This is the first time the Maidstone housing provider has been inspected under the new consumer regulations since they were introduced in 2024. The Regulator has given a C1 for consumer standards and confirmed Golding has maintained its G1 rating for governance and V2 for financial viability.
Golding Homes Chair, Chris Cheeseman said: “We’re delighted with the outcome of this inspection, receiving the highest grading for consumer standards shows Golding Homes is really delivering on our plan to put customers at the heart of our organisation.”
The RSH praised the provider for meaningful customer engagement, keeping tenants safe and effective use of data to inform service design to meet customers’ needs, asset investment and maintenance of homes.
Chief Executive Steph Goad said: “It’s an exciting time for Golding Homes, we’ve worked hard to build trust, listen to customers and act on what they tell us. We’ve delivered improvements across all areas of operations and I’m particularly proud of the transformation in our repairs service and our exemplary customer engagement model.
I’d like to personally thank customers from our Customer Insight Group, who played an important part in the inspection, as well as our dedicated colleagues who really care about delivering good services every day.
We’re proud of this grading. We are never complacent. It’s a fantastic platform to continue to build on as we launch our new four-year corporate plan in April 2026.”
