Helen Whately MP visits Senacre

We were pleased to welcome Helen Whately, the MP for Faversham and Mid Kent, to the Senacre area of Maidstone last week to hear about our £60 million three-year investment programme.
We're making improvements to thousands of our existing homes, including new roofs, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, gutters and external decorations. This work is improving quality and safety, making homes more energy efficient and reducing the need for repairs.
We’re one year into the programme and in 2024/25 we invested £22 million, with our planned works programme delivering 300 new kitchens, 173 bathrooms, 460 boilers, 400 windows, 464 doors and 40 pitched roofs.
Helen spent time at Titchfield Close and the surrounding area to see some of the current asset investment work. At Titchfield Close, work's being completed to nine apartment blocks (38 homes) and seven houses. This work includes replacing gutters, downpipes, soffits and fascias, render repairs and full external redecoration. In Senacre, improvement works worth £340,000 include new external rendering, roofs and walkway and porch refurbishments.
Helen was able to see the difference these works are already making to customers and speak to them about their experience.
Tom Casey, Director of Development and Strategic Asset Management, said:
"We were delighted to show Helen the Titchfield Close and Senacre area, where we have an active programme of investment focused on improving the quality and efficiency of our customers homes. It was good to hear directly from the customers who live here and see the positive impact that the work is having."
