Launching Phase 2 of Fielding Park
Last week we proudly hosted an event to celebrate the success of the first phase of development in Shepway with our development partner Skillcrown and launch Phase 2 which is set to begin imminently.
It’s a major milestone in our project’s journey and this special occasion brought together our community partners, councillors and other local stakeholders and supporters to reflect on our progress and look ahead with optimism.
The second phase of the project will deliver 57 homes for shared ownership and social rent, in addition to the 114 new homes and four commercial units being built in Phase 1. Development of Phase 1 started last year and these new homes can now be seen taking shape on site.
Councillor Stuart Jeffrey, Leader of Maidstone Borough Council, said: “The houses here had become in quite poor condition and I’m really pleased that Golding Homes are now regenerating the area. It’s just fantastic to see.”
Councillor Simon Wales, Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness at Maidstone Borough Council, added: “It’s heartwarming to see how much it’s progressed in such a short time. These are homes for local people and I’m proud to be working with the council, Golding Homes and Skillcrown to make these things happen.”
