Stay alert for scams
Scammers are constantly coming up with new ways to target people and, at this time of the year they often increase their efforts to steal from you.
Whether it’s catching you on the doorstep, via text or phone or online, the scammer is looking for ways to get at your money, so please stay alert to protect yourself and others.
Please:
- Don’t part with any cash or bank information on your doorstep or let anyone into your home without checking their photo identification.
- Don't use the numbers or address in the text/email, use the details from their official website
- Remember, your bank or any other official source will never ask you to supply personal information via email
- Remain extra vigilant with texts or e-mails telling you to pay cash as these are scams, please don’t get caught out by them. If you’re unsure if the text has come from us, please call us on 0300 777 2600 to check.
