Domestic Abuse – get help this Christmas

Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, and anybody can be an abuser.  It’s not just violence, it can also be emotional abuse or controlling and coercive behaviour.

In 2020/21 calls to the National Domestic Abuse Helpline in England were up by 22 per cent. At this time of year especially, and during a crisis like the Covid-19 pandemic, figures of domestic abuse-related crime are known to increase.

We’re all asked to look out for signs of those enduring domestic abuse. If you suspect someone is being abused support them to get help now.
