Gas safety in your home
We need you to allow us access to your home to carry out an important gas safety check every year. As a landlord we are required by law to service your boiler every year and need access to your home to do this.
Gas appliances that are not working correctly can produce poisonous fumes. Coined ‘the silent killer’ as you can’t see it, taste or smell it, carbon monoxide can be produced when appliances aren’t working safely enough to burn the fuel fully. This is why it is so important to have your gas appliances checked and keep your home and loved ones safe.
We will usually book an appointment with you six weeks before your annual gas safety certificate runs out. If a problem is found during your gas safety check, we will inform you and work to repair the problem as quickly as possible. Within 28 days of the check being completed, we will provide you with a copy of the gas safety check certificate for your records.
Allowing us access into your home to carry out the check is part of your tenancy agreement. Failure to allow access to complete this service could put you and your family at risk and may result in legal action.
All our operatives are registered gas engineers and therefore qualified to carry out the Gas Safety Check.
