Golding Homes achieves SHIFT Gold sustainability accreditation
We've been awarded the gold accreditation by SHIFT (Sustainable Homes Index for Tomorrow).
The sustainability standards for the housing sector, SHIFT benchmarks best practice for organisations who want to reduce the negative impact that their work has on the environment.
Last year we published our first Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Report, including our response to climate change challenges and the actions being taken to reduce our impact on the environment while delivering a sustainable service for customers now and for future generations.
Tom Casey, Executive Director of Development and Strategic Asset Management, said: “This award builds on the Silver accreditation we received in 2021, following the launch of our environmental strategy. It’s the result of a tremendous amount of work we’re putting into our commitment to making Golding greener as we move towards our net zero carbon footprint ambition.
“The Gold accreditation is a great achievement, but we want to keep getting better at what we do, set challenging targets and achieve the highest of sustainability standards. That’s why we’ll carefully consider the recommendation from our assessment so that we can learn, put in place robust plans, and keep improving on our sustainability credentials.”
