New electricity contract for communal areas
Our current contract for electricity to communal areas expires on 31 October and we've tendered for a new twelve month contract to begin on 1 November 2026.
We went out to tender through the summer months, when energy prices are typically lower, and invited utility companies to submit their best prices. Our current provider, EDF, gave us the best rate which as we anticipated has been affected by the world-wide issues keeping oil prices high. As a result, the rate of our contract has increased. We're confident we've secured the best possible value for money outcome under current market conditions, and we'll go out to the market again in the new year fo r the best deal.
