Safety on your Estates
We maintain communal spaces within properties ensuring Golding Homes remains safe and compliant. This includes testing communal heat and smoke detectors, fire alarms, vents, emergency lighting and Health & Safety in and around the estates through a sequence of block inspections on all low-risk sites.
Block Inspections
In addition to our cleaner/caretaker visits and Neighbourhood Action Days, we also carry out regular inspections of our blocks to assess safety, security and the overall condition of the block:
- High level blocks – Building Safety Surveyor inspections every quarter
- Medium level blocks – Maintenance Inspector inspections every six months
- Low level blocks – Communal Estate Services team inspections annually
Play areas
We’ve got several play areas that we own spread across our neighbourhoods. We make sure these are kept clean, safe and well maintained. Our Compliance team carry out monthly maintenance inspections, inspecting all aspects of the equipment. In addition to the play equipment, we’ll also check fences, gates, and the varying types of surfaces to identify any forms of ASB, such as graffiti and general upkeep of the surrounding areas.
The inspection will risk rate all aspects of the playground with our “Safeplay” contractor, and any necessary repairs or maintenance identified will be carried out.
Our cleaner/ caretaking teams will also do a weekly visit to address any minor issues such as litter picking, to change the bins and, where necessary, clean off graffiti, moss and algae. Our grounds maintenance teams compliment the cleaners by ensuring communal spaces in and around the play area remain free from weeds, moss, algae and litter or leaves.
