What happens next?

After this first stage of the consultation has ended, we’ll confirm the standard service we’ll want to provide and also any extra ad-hoc works we might need under the contract so we can get confirmed prices. This allows us to get pre-agreed prices for additional works we might need occasionally.

We’ll then advertise the proposed contract and invite contractors to tender for it giving a deadline by when we need to receive them. Once we’ve received the tenders, we evaluate and score them. We usually assess them on 60% quality and 40% cost.

Once we’ve scored them, the highest score is usually the contractor we’ll propose we enter a contract with. It’s at that point we’ll write to you again to let you know who we’re suggesting and how much we estimate it will cost. You’ll have another opportunity to ask questions and make comments at that point.
