Fire Risk Assessments

Fire Risk Assessments (FRA's)

A Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) is an inspection of the common areas of a building (eg corridors, stairs, walls, doors etc) and its structure and how these areas are used. It identifies any potential fire safety hazards and risks present and provides recommendations on how those risks can be managed to keep the people living in the building safe. FRA’s take place between 1 – 4 years as programmed. Your block address will only be added once the new FRA is completed.

We worked with over 250 customers who live in our blocks of flats and OPAL schemes to make the FRA documents clearer and easier for everyone to understand.  We now have Customer Summary Fire Risk Assessments which detail if any fire risks have been identified in the communal areas of your building, and the completion of any identified actions which will be updated on a regular basis.

All our blocks of flats have, and will continue to have, a full current FRA. If you’d like a copy of the FRA for your block, please contact the Building Safety team – building.safety@goldinghomes.org.uk
